Cill Dara and the ECC are Charter Members
of the Fellowship
of Celtic Churches International!
The Fellowship of Celtic Churches International, a scripturally-based association of independent congregations, ministries, and clergy who consider themselves part of the Celtic Christian tradition.
The FCCI is dedicated to support Celtic Churches and clergy in reaching out to the world around us with the love of Christ in the Celtic way!
The purpose of the Fellowship is to encourage cooperation among independent congregations and ministries concerning doctrine and clergy recognition.
The membership of the Fellowship consists of independent congregations and ministries who are in agreement with the constitution of the FCCI.
The Fellowship is directed by our Bishops whom have apostolic sucsession. The Bishops may consecrate as a Bishop in this Fellowship any approved ordained pastor of a member church or ministry. The Bishops shall, by majority vote, elect annually a Presiding Bishop who shall preside over the meetings of the Bishops and serve as Treasurer and perform other administrative duties prescribed by the Bishops. The Bishops oversee the financial records for the Fellowship only and not of the members. The Fellowship does not conduct any appeals for funds from anyone and its only income is the annual gifts or donations given by members or any other gifts freely given. Members may not collect funds in the name of the fellowship.
As a member of the Fellowship, Cill Dara is able to ordain their own priests, deacons and monks. we then recommend that these ordained clergy be recognized by the Bishops. The Bishops will interview the ordained pastors and by a majority vote will recognize or not recognize these ordained clergy. Once a clergy is recognized by the Bishops, the clergy may serve in any Fellowship member local congregation upon the approval of the members of that local congregation. Each member congregation shall call and prescribe the duties of their own clergy. The Bishops of the Fellowship only recognize the already ordained clergy of the member congregations. The Bishops believe this is the method that was used in the early church and they continue this practice today.
